ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Crystal and hail from a small town in Minnesota along the Mississippi River. Knitting and crocheting were first introduced to me as a young girl by my grandmother, Milly. She tried many times to teach me – but I just never got it. I preferred sitting with her, listening to her stories and playing card games while she worked away on her next project.

My Grandma Milly unknowingly planted that seed for knitting and a love of all fibers. And from that love, Factory Girl accessory and garment patterns are designed with size inclusivity at the forefront. As a plus size woman and designer, style, fit and comfort are important to me. Each pattern shares tips to customize and personalize for your perfect fit. My hope is each maker will feel pride and joy while wearing their hand knits.

Along with knitwear designs, Factory Girl loves to share her favorite things whether it be tools, treats, candles, or other goodies. When not knitting or designing, Crystal is a 2nd generation business owner overseeing her family’s manufacturing business. On weekends, you may find her & her pup Sophie on her motorcycle discovering new places or sharing time with family & friends enjoying great conversation, food, and wine!
