Hope your May is off to a great start! It's the Month of May! 🏁

This first weekend of May was pretty busy with Derby Saturday, birthday celebrations for friends, and Sunday was Cinco de Mayo plus the Miami F1 race. PS...in case you didn't know I'm a huge F1 and IndyCar fan.

Ok - so real quick about the Month of May! This is one of my favorite months of the year and I have often spent each weekend flying or driving back and forth to Indianapolis.

Here's a breakdown of the Month:

  • The 1st weekend marks the IndyMini...a half-marathon (I ran in 2017...was my first ever and I've been itching to get back every since),

  • The 2nd wekeend is the IndyGP - a road race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway,

  • The 3rd weekend is Qualiflying & Bump Day for the Indy 500,

  • And the 4th weekend is Memorial Day Weekend and the Indy 500. Quite literally my favorite weekend of the entire year. It's a weekend to celebrate our hereos who fought bravely and unequivocally for our freedom and on race day Sunday to stand side by side 350,000 of your newest friends from all walks of life and around the world to cheer on drivers racing at over 230mph. If we've met in person, you also know I cry at all of this stuff! I get so excited my cheers become tears of joy!

The Month of May is my unofficial kick-off to summer and Margarita Season! So what better way to get started than with a fresh lime margarita! This past Sunday, I made a couple of these delicious non-alchololic Margaritas and wanted to share the recipe with you!

If you prefer alcohol, easily sub in your favorite - these days I've been opting for NA. I feel better, sleep better, and still enjoy the fun with a fancy sip as I hang with friends, knit or crochet on the balcony, or enjoy a yummy BBQ!

NA Blanco Lime Margarita

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Almave Blanco (you can ues any NA tequila - this is one of my favs)

  • 1 tsp of Agave Nectar

  • 1 bottle or can of Betty Buzz of Sparkling Lemon Lime

  • You can also sub juice from 1 lime and top with soda water

  • 3 dashes of Orange Bitters (I prefer All the Bitter)

  • Fresh Lime Slices for Garnish

To mix:

  1. Optional: With lime, wet the rim of your glass and coat with sea salt and set aside

  2. Combine all ingredients (NA tequila, Agave Nectar Sparkling Lemon Lime, Orange Bitters) in a shaker.

  3. Add ice, cover and shake.

  4. Strain over fresh ice in your salt-rimmed glass. Add fresh lime slices for garnish.

Enjoy Margartita Season! Be sure to let me know your thoughts if you make this and what you changed up to make it your own!

Happy Sips & Knits!

xo, Crystal
