The Grange.
Remembering a fabulous trip to the PNW a year ago as we dream of traveling to all the magical places around us. Named for a special farm to table spot in Duvall, Washington. That evening wrapped up my visit with some fabulous friends where we shared amazing food, great laughs, delicious wine and to-die-for desserts.
This colorwork cowl is knit in the round beginning and ending with a twisted rib. The colorwork pattern shows off a beautiful handspun or gorgeous indie dyed yarn. Raid your stash for some worsted, dk or one of each and cast-on for a simple, quick, satisfying knit.
Pattern Details. The Grange is knit in the round. Choose your favorite yarn combo whether it be worsted, dk, or mix of both yarn weights. This is a great beginner colorwork project and nice stash buster. There are instructions included to adjust the size of your cowl to make it larger or smaller depending on the fit you would like.
For the sample, I knit this in a combination of worsted weight and DK weight yarns. The main color (dark grey), knit in The Fibre Co Cumbria in Hadrian's Wall. And the contrast color is knit in Feederbrook Farm Entropy DK. This was my first time using Entropy DK and I really enjoyed it. The two options paired together beautifully and both have a wonderful halo.
